When is it right

I have a 5 week old puppy again its mother died but I am just curis at what age can we give him treats to start training thanxs in avance=-)

Answer #1

not too early to start to train her…limit the treat intake so that she isnt filling up on them and thet she is getting the nutritional value from her regular puppy food, but a few treats here and there wont hurt her, they are made for dogs and have some value to them..

Answer #2

Yeah, although my cousin got her puppy, who’s 6 weeks old, and they are slowely starting to train her =]

Answer #3

I wudnt give your pup anything just yet as they cnt digest certain thing. like chicken.. etc. maybe some bread soaked in water. dog treats have on the back of the packet what age is best and its normally 13 weeks. maybe abit of cheese wudnt hurt but not a lot. size of liitle finger nail maybe

Answer #4

About 10/13 weeks

Answer #5

Gotta do everything slow with baby that young…

Most people get pups when they are around 8 weeks…and start working with them on housetraining right away…You’ve got to be careful with what kind, and how much “treats” are offered to pups…
