My dog has a quarter-size lump underneath her right arm.

I was petting my 2 1/2 yr old dog and noticed a soft, quarter-size lump underneath her front right leg. Any idea what it may be? Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please help. I took her to her vet and he said it could be a harmonal thing and to start by spaying to see if it goes away.

I am not sure what spaying would have to do with a lump under a right front leg.

I would get a second opinion unless you totally trust and respect this Vet.

Of course I am not a Vet but they don’t seem related.

Answer #2

Always have lumps checked…chances are it is a fatty deposit, and harmless…unless the dog is uncomfortable, then leave it be…they cost a lot to be removed, and have a 95% cahnce of coming back.

My dog has one of those and my doctor said that it was nothing to be concerned about.
