When can adultery charges be filed?

My ex boyfriend is unhappy in his marriage. He started communucating with me through text messages, phone calls. and then brief meetings. His wife found out and is threatening to file charges. Can she and if yes what sort of charges can be filed in PA?

Answer #1

I have heard of cases where the wife has sued in civil court. Alienation of affection, or something like that. You probably want to consult a lawyer.

Answer #2

What charges is she threatening to file? Adultery is rarely (if ever) prosecuted as a crime in PA, although it can be used as grounds for divorce. In that case, however, she would need proof of physical affection in order to proceed, which would mean either following you two or hiring a detective.
