can they charge him with harboring a runaway?

last night i told my parents that i going to work when in reality i was going to see my boyfriend for a couple hours. to make a long story short, my mom tried to call me at my work but i wasnt there so they found out. from the research ive done, its illegal in idaho to runaway, and i wasnt sure if this would be considered illegal since i had no intention of actually running away and i was gone for three hours. (btw, im 17 and ill be eighteen in october, and my boyfriend is 18)

That’s not running away, you just lied about your whereabouts. Your mom would look like a fool if she tried to charge your boyfriends parents with that crap. That sucks that you have to lie to your mom about seeing your boyfriend, she should trust you more so you wouldn’t am have to go behind her back :/
