what weight is classed anorexic for a 12 year old? please help.?

she really want sto be skinny and she is sometimes happy about it. she pretents to say she eats but she has not had a thing. she does refuse to eat. she said once that she felt fat but she is really skinny. she denies being thin and she keeps exersizing

Hmmm…what anorexia symptoms does she have? For example, anorexics think that weight loss is the key to true happiness; becoming thin is their ultimate goal (with the risk of their own health); they refuse to maintain a normal weight for their height and age; they have an intense fear of becoming fat; they can be obssessed with calories & co; some tend to pretend they eat or lie about this; they deny being too skinny; some can use laxatives and abuse diet pills…and the list could go on and on and on. Again, what’s exactly her weight and height? And how does she see herself?

You know, anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder and those who suffer from it have a disorted body image. They’re also happy when they’re skinny - which doesn’t seem to be your sister’s case - you said she cries about this…meaning that she’s not happy with her current situation. What does she say about gaining weight? Maybe she has a disease (check a doctor), maybe it has something to do with genetics…but I don’t think she’s anorexic. over xmas she did not put weight on and ate some things. You can’t put weight in such a short time - gaining weight is a long term process. Meanwhile, find out what’s her weight and height and search (on google) for an ideal weight body calculator.

amelie_m is correct it is an eating disorder she is probably just under weight and if she is really worried that she can’t gain weight have her go to the doctors she might havve the same problem my ex boyfriend had he is 18 and 5’6” and only weighs 95 pounds he just cannot gain weight when he was 14 he was put in the hospital for a little while which I know might scare your sister but he did gain weight while he was there he want from 45 pounds to 90pounds I dont remember what it was called but its just a problem when their body cannot store fat because the have a super high metabolism.
