What is your opinion on hunting?

Today I took a hunter’s safety class and they told us to respect everyone’s opinion on hunting. Do you like hunting or hate it? Would you rather hunt like how the Indians did or stick with guns and stuff? Do you agree that we should not take more than what we are supposed to during hunting or go on and shoot more and don’t check it in?

Answer #1

you eat cows from the store, thats worse than going out and knowing the animal you killed didnt suffer, cows from the store are abused, and sometimes there legs are broken on purpose. Plus you never EVER know with store meat if its safe, or where its come from, I mean wild animals have diseases, but there is no dyes, or salt in the meat. Plus cows at the store do you think that every peice is used, I think not.

Answer #2

I only hunt for food that’s it. They have to kill the animals they sell at the store, too. I respect your opinion, but I would like to say something: Animals move on and go to Heaven after we kill them cause they have souls, too. Also, we have to survive, but if you’re not eating meats, you will lack protien. It’s how it is now, since Adam and Eve sinned, that’s how it has to be. I do think we should eat all that we can of what we kill; it respects the animal that gave it’s life for you!:)

Answer #4

I agree with erika_idk_1150. I think you should only kill an animal if you NEED to. For food. NOT just for fun. Only hunt for food if you need it. But I believe a lot of people hunt just for the sport. I hate that.

Answer #5

I think people shouldn’t hunt at all

it’s murder!

and your doing it

…speacailly when people tell me the animals we buy are already dead

then why would people go out and hunt

=/

Answer #6

yo, we dont hunt with bows anymore, we use the most state of the art guns :) imagine using a bow and arrow in -50 degree weather I think not.

Answer #7

I agree with the above also. I love all kinds of hunting, I have learned to take game with a bow, as well as a gun, both ways have their place in the world. I am learning more about how the native americans did things and I love every minute of it, in the very near future I will most likely make my own bow, and obsidian tipped arrows. hunters should never take more game then they need, game animals are a valued resource, and responsible conservation should always apply and be strictly followed. I love all animals, and my efforts as a hunter help keep the animal population healthy for the benefit of everyone, including the animals- the way nature intended things to be.

Answer #8

erika_idk_1150, being a vegetarian, you ABOVE all should be thankful for the hunters. If it weren’t for a regulated hunting season, wildlife would be so dense they would eat up all of your vegetables and you would go hungry.

Answer #9

I’m all for it. It helps to keep the animals in balance. If you’re going to shoot something then you need to make good use of it.

Answer #10

I agree with jaes.

Answer #11

actually I’m vegitarian so no I don’t eat cows from the store anyways

Answer #12

I think that hunters should use EVERY part of the animal, thats what my whole culture and family does, and it conserves. anyone just looking at mounting a head shouldnt be allowed to hunt. We use everthing on the animal, nothing ever goes to waste, it respects the animal more too.
