What is better and safer pads or tampons?

I’m a fan of tampons. To me, they are much more comfortable than pads and much much cleaner. Wearing a pad feels like a diaper, and the blood gets everywhere. Going to the restroom is horrible and the cleanup is even worse if you have a heavy flow.

Sometimes on my heavy days, when I stood up, it felt like Niagra Falls down there. I hated that feeling! I don’t get that nearly as frequently with tampons.

Tampons cut all of that out. They absorb the blood before it gets a chance to leak down, so clean up is minimal. Sorry for the gruesome details, but its a part of life!

You just have to be sure to remove tampons before inserting a new one. I know that sounds like a no brainer, but on rare occasions women forget. If you leave a tampon in for much too long, you run the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrom (TSS).

tampons are uncomfertable at first but there a LOT easier for moving around so you dont leak thru er jeans and stuff. I’ve used them before when I go swimming and there nothing to be afraid to use. there cool and stuff. soo you should use those. but pads are okay too.

Hi, im 15 and am also thinkin the same as u. I have always used pads and have never tried tampons. Eveyone says that tampons are safe but they can seem quite scary can’t they? pads are safe and are hygience if you use fresh ones throughout the day. So its choice really!

I’m much more comfortable with pads. Tampons scare me like heck. ;D And with pads, I can kinda see when I need to change it and all. I can’t, with tampons. I also heard that tampons can cause cancer if you keep them in too long or something, and so I’m paranoid about using them. ;D If you use them right, though, it doesn’t. But if you keep a pad on too long, the blood will go through, and smell… So, it’s really what you prefer. =] Tampons can be more convenient, since you can go swimming when you have one in. But you know when you need to change a pad. Really. Your choice. =]
