What happens after death?

Well what really happens after death? Where do we go? What happens? Because there are lot of people who claim to have gone to the fourth dimension..but is that true?

Answer #1

jeremy93, another point I’d like to make. Do you believe it’s possible that other intelligent lifeforms exist somewhere else in this huge cosmos? Bear in mind that even the Vatican (who thinks they’re the final authority on everything) has recently promoted the search for extraterrestrial life. Now, if ever it’s found (and it may not be in our lifetime), what about Jesus? Did He visit them too? Did He take on their form and sacrifice Himself for their sins? A priest once told me that perhaps ET’s were in no need of salvation, which makes no sense at all, as supposedly death became humans’ punishment for their sinful nature and that humans would never die had Adam & Eve (a joke) not sinned. Now - that means that if ET’s didn’t need salvation, they’d theoretically “live forever”. Hogwash. Anything born into this universe eventually dies. Also, if Jesus did indeed visit ET’s, He would have to have been born into another vessel; e.g., another Mary. And if you think this is nuts, go tell the scientists who have radio telescopes placed strategically over this planet constantly “listening” for possible ET patterns of speech or whatever that THEY’RE nuts. I firmly believe that someday, perhaps far into the future, libraries will have books on “Christian Mythology” right alongside the tomes on Egyptian, Roman, and Greek mythology. Just because alien lifeforms have not been discovered yet doesn’t mean they don’t exist; it’s just such a huge Cosmos that it will be long time if we on this planet find it. Do you honestly think the entire Cosmos, with its billions of universes, was made just for us? Remember, at one time humans firmly believed that the sun revolved around Earth. We know better now. And in case you’re wondering, I’m not an atheist. I believe there’s very possibly a God, but that He created everything through the process of evolution, which is known as Theistic Evolution. After all, He’s the only Being who has “all the time in the world.”

Your question is what many people have asked before. Though it was not directed to me I would like to say something about this. Your question is if there is a tribe in an island that has hod no contact with the rest of the world, would the people there be saved? Instead of answering that question I would like to ask a question instead. The question is WHY ARE YOU BOTHERED ABOUT THEM? That is God’s problem. You should rather be looking at your problem. What about your redemption? Are you going to be saved? Would you go to heaven if you die tomorrow?

The real truth is that NOBODY knows what happens after death

How do you know that, that is the truth about the matter? How do you know that nobosy know?

Yeah, I know Christians will say Jesus was God and died for us, but there isn’t a shred of evidence that this is true.

I want to tell you that there are evidences and you just don’t want to see any, but I just do not want to go down that route.

A man came back from the death and has revealed to us what is there on the other side. He has told us that there is Heaven and Hell and we would all go to Hell after we die unless we use the escape route that God has provide. You anyone does not want to believe what that man has revealed to us then its up to them. Everyone has o decide for themselves and they are solely responsible for their eternal destiny.

Answer #3

jeremy93, while I respect your right to believe as you do, bear in mind that the bible is a collection of books written by HUMANS, and that even the 4 evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) more than like did not write those books themselves; rather their names were borrowed to lend credence to the stories. Also, the term “inspire” is an extremely vague word: I am often inspired to write poetry - now, is God inspiring me, or is it simply a result of my small creative streak? Also, you get your information from your pastor? Hardly an unbiased source. And remember, each pastor or clergyperson has his/her own beliefs that do not necessarily coincide with each other. I suggest you study different sources; I personally believe that Christ did live - whether or not He actually was divine I do not know as I was not there (and neither were you or your pastor). It’s uncanny how many similar stories there are regarding a virgin birth, a resurrection, miracles, et al. You also mentioned missionaries - there are missionaries of different faiths and even THEY cannot agree on certain facts, so who’s to say which are correct? If you are capable, keep an open mind and delve into various religions - you may be greatly surprised. Good luck. (I think I don’t want to discuss religion anymore, but we’ll see.)

jeremy93,

bro_tony and sarahphil7, I’m just going to throw this out there. Say there is an island far off in the ocean that has yet to be discovered. On this island lives a tribe of people who have never seen or spoken to any other human being outside of the tribe. Naturally they would not know of the Christian faith or of Jesus Christ. That being said, does that mean that they have no chance of redemption and will surely go to Hell?

In the book of Acts, chapter 10, there was a man named Cornelius who was in a similar scenario that you described. He genuinely wanted to know God and God sent the Apostle Peter to him to present the Gospel. If those people on your island genuinely want to know the truth, God will send someone (a missionary) to them that will give them the truth.

Answer #5

jeremy93: it’s not that I’m against you or something, and I’m not saying that I’m on your side either. if there was a group of people out there who does not have any connection with the outside world, like eternallife said, it’s God’s problem, but I know those people knows about Him because he never lets any human being left not knowing Him. and we do have a proof, you’re just not opening your minds. the proof that I am talking about is the BIBLE. if you ask why I do, the bible came from those rocks which the people from the old generation wrote the books of the bible which some people found then translated it to english. it’s kinda a long story. so, if you don’t believe us, it’s up to you guys. you should try going to church at least a few times. then you can ask christians about how the bible existed. ps. my pastor told me stories about these things.

Answer #6

WHY ARE YOU BOTHERED ABOUT THEM?

Is it not natural to think about these kind of things and wonder that if the Christian faith is correct, will everyone have a fair chance of going to Heaven?

That is God’s problem.

True, but people are entitled to worry about these things.

You should rather be looking at your problem.

So you say that one should only focus on themselves? Pah! I find that quite disturbing to be frank. A person should look at the world as a whole and consider every being. While it is true that we may not be able to help everyone, we should at least try if it’s within our capabilities.

I’m not saying that I believe in the Christian faith, I’m just saying that perhaps we should look at these things more carefully.

Answer #7

Hi - The real truth is that NOBODY knows what happens after death. Many people claim to because that’s what they want to believe. Their thinking is mere conjecture. Nobody ever returned from the dead and told us what it’s like. Personally, I think the real answer is so obvious that it’s kind of like “you can’t see the forest for the trees” We become what we were before we were born - which is NOTHINGNESS; there simply is no more you, no more me, no more existence. I think it’s possible there’s a God, but whether or not he cares about us is debatable. Yeah, I know Christians will say Jesus was God and died for us, but there isn’t a shred of evidence that this is true. At least if we face nothingness - it’s not bad!

bro_tony and sarahphil7, I’m just going to throw this out there. Say there is an island far off in the ocean that has yet to be discovered. That being said, does that mean that they have no chance of redemption and will surely go to Hell?

Now as for your question meckylove. The simple answer is that we have no idea what happens after death, we can only think of what happens. We may go to the afterlife, we may be reborn as someone or something different or nothing may happen.

Answer #9

there are two answers, heaven or hell. every human beingis supposed to be going to hell, but since Jesus dies for us and took all our sins, he became sin for us. he did not sin but he became the sin bearer. now, if you don’t accept christ as your personal savior and not believe in Him, you go to hell. if you ask Him to be your personal savior and save you from hell and believe in Him, you go to heaven. it’s as simple as that but some people just make it harder for themselves. if you have more questions, why don’t you ask a christian in your area? (no offense to you or to anyone)

Answer #10

Nothing happens to you. You just quit existing in any meaningful sense, just like you didn’t exist 100 years ago, or a 1000, etc …

Answer #11

Not to push my beliefs but I believe with all my heart and soul that if you believe in Jesus who died for ALL of EVERYONE’S sins then you are saved. He died for that because he knew that all human beings are not perfect and he knew that we would sin daily so he paid the price for us and all we have to do is believe in that and live accordingly to his word. Basically be good to people don’t do really horrible things…it is really simple for what he did! If you trust that and learn more about it then you WILL see slight changes in your life…I did! I doubted it and in my worst and lowest points in life,if it had not been for my faith, I would not have made it! Heaven will be your home if you accept Jesus as your savior…I am not a “Bible thumper” this is true for me!

Answer #12

What happens after death?

If you are saved by grace, through faith, in the substitutionary death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you go to Heaven.

If you are not saved by grace, through faith, in the substitutionary death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you go to Hell.

Answer #13

After we die we go to either Heaven or Hell. What determines weather we go to Heaven or hell is our sins. If we are sinful we go to Hell and if we are sinless we go to Heaven. But the fact is that we are all sinners. So we are all going to Hell. We cannot do anything about this. The only one who can help us out of this is God. He has given us an escape route and if we accept that escape route we can escape Hell.

Answer #14

Heaven is supposedly earth as intended, before Adam and Eve screwed up. Hell is for people who either refuse to believe in God or one invisible, almighty being or people who commit the one unforgivable sin (no, it is not rape or murder)

Answer #15

The body decomposes. The end.

Answer #16

there have been claims by people who were dead that they saw a white staircase or golden gates or flying angels or whatever, but if what they were seeing was real their stories would all correspond with each other which they dont. also why are there only claims of people going to heaven and not hell? sorry to break it to you but nothing happens to you after you die. a lot of people have a hard time with that but actually its not a bad thing at all in my opinion.

Answer #17

some people say when they have died and been recoverd by the docs that they have seen a big white light and/or family members…

others say they have seen and felt nothing..

its impossible to be certain

Answer #18

what is the one unforgivable sin?

Answer #19

Answer #20
