What happened when your always being compared to other people?

I am always being compared to my brother. He gets better grades then me. He’s on the honor role. He’s popular, & hes a good kid. But I am getting sick of him. I am the opposite of him. Everything. My grades are great, I’m a nobody. ect. and I’m getting fed up with my parents always comparing me to him. Like one time my parents thought I was doing drugs and I was prenaught because I wasnt at home much, but hey if my brother was out more than 2 days a week they never would suspect anything. And I am really sick of it. Does anyone else have the same problem? How have you gotten thru it?

I look at them like there stupid and say stop comparing me to him/her because im never going to be like me and by the end of the day im still going to be so what diffrence does it make to compare me to someone im not gonna be? I get that a lot mostly because I have a twin. so now I just do what I do. now I play the sax and the clarinet and have fun doing it. try something that you know makes you happy and also make your parents proud or shocked.

I know what you mean, one of my friends sort of had that too. His older brother was head boy at our school and get A+ in everything he did etc, whereas my friend actually had learning difficulties and everyone would make him feel bad because he was never as good as his brother.

I think you should try doing things that your brother has not done, so there is no way for people to compare you guys. I don’t know what to do about school work, but outside of school you could take up an instrument, sport or club that your brother has never done. take up an awesome different sport, for example snowboarding, or ice hockey, so that its really individual and your brother isn’t better than you.
