What does it mean when a goldfish puts it's dorsal fin up?

Hi, I have 5 goldfish, just the 10 cent ones that you get from Walmart. And I was wondering what it means when they put their dorsal fin up and if that’s good or bad. Thanks in advance for your information.

It’s fine both ways. When it’s down they are calm and when it’s up they are alert.
