What do you think? Should a child be able to speak up?
Alright so I was thinking…you know how some parents put there children into religious schools, but arnt really that religion. Well I just wanted to know if its ever okay for a child to hear something in that religious school that he/she doesnt believe in or doesnt believe is true for?
If a childs parents don’t believe in a certain religion or only some of it and there raising there child to believe the same than they should not put there child in a school that is based off those beliefs. Because the majority of what they hear their already not going to believe. To put a child in that situation and than continually have them disagree or stand up for what they believe would just be plain disrespectful in my opinion. The schools core, what they base there education around, there mission statment is based off there religious beliefs. Its not “standing up for yourself” if you just disagree with something. Unless your going to allow your child to go into a religious school with an open mind and the opportunity to decide what it is they want to believe in than its not right to put your child into that situation. Don’t punish the other children and the teachers there with your childs ignorance. Just my opinion! C-:
parents put their kids in these schools because unlike public schools they have structure and rules its not soo much about the relgious part, infact many of these school’s “services” are optional…there are more and more policies pertaining to childrens rights and this sometimes takes away from kids in a sense they are being denied the disipline they strive for and rules they need…religion really has nothing to do with it…its the structure and principles im sure…

You’re going to a religious school, if you dont belong to the religion you’re obviously going to hear things you dont believe… of course it is ok, dont put a kid in a religious school if you dont want the kid to be hearing things
should a child be able to speak up?
what do you mean by able? it’s a private school. it depends on the school rules. if they welcome questions, then by all means. if not, then dont speak up. if you dont like it, go to a public school or a non-religious private school.
yess stand up for your self what ever youu feell TOTALLY STAND UP FOR YOUR SELF.
well yeah.I mean if you don’t believe in that of course you should say something about!
