Brown

Answer #4

blue from mom!

Answer #5

Answer #6

Brown.

its true in this case the brown would be the dominiant gene so both parents would have a dominant/recessive gene combination = their children would get the dominant gene (brown)

Answer #7

I think brown. brown is dominant and blue is recessive, in that situation—I think. and besides, theres a bigger %/chance for brown eyes, anyways…

Answer #8

The baby would have brown eyes, since brown is the more dominate color. ( we just finished a unit on genes in science)

Answer #9

Mommy’s genotype for eye color is bb. Daddy’s genotype is either BB or Bb. The same is true with Daddy’s parents.

Assuming the equal chance of occurence for genotypes BB and Bb for Daddy’s parents, we can estimate the probability for his genotype.

1/4: Bb x Bb: 2/3 Bb, 1/3 BB 1/2: Bb x BB: 1/2 Bb, 1/2 BB 1/4: BB x BB: BB

Probability for Bb: 1/4 2/3 + 1/2 1/2 + 1/4*1 = 2/3 Probability for BB = 1/3

One B gene have a phenotype of brown eyes. The kid can get this gene only from Daddy.

1/2 2/3 + 1/2 1 = 2/3

There is one chance in three kid is blue-eyed, two chances in three brown-eyed.

Answer #10

Most likely the baby would have brown eyes because of the dominance - but like the mothers genes shows it possible to have blue eyes despite having a dominant brown gene.
