What causes repeated pleurisy?

Answer #1

Apparently pleurisy can take a while to go away completely. I’ve had it for a year now according to my doctor. It’s caused either by a previous chest infection, pneumonia, chest injuries…etc. Anything that causes inflammation or damage at the edge of the lung next to the pleura can cause repeated pleurisy.
