What can I do to gain everyones trust back?

So I’ve made a lot of dumb decisions throughout the past year, for shoplifting, I got expelled for over half of the school year for drugs, smoking, drinking, staying out, a few run ins with the cops, etc. It sounds bad but im really a good kid. My parents both think that im like this major slut and a wild crazy partier but thats really just who I get along with and I want them to trust me, I stopped doing drugs I only smoke and drink and I’ve only had sex with 2 people, both in serious relationships and protected. My parents are still together so they have me on lockdown if they even suspect anything which I understand I just wanna know how im supposed to get them to trust me before I go back to school after spring break?

Answer #3

Don’t smoke or drink. Just do some good. Don’t act too good, or else people start getting suspicious and put you in downtown for 5 hours. Talking to them might help. Might want to just leave out the bad stuff. unless it will help you somehow…

Well to begin with, you’ve set a bad opinion with people and you may not be worthy of their trust. Just like a wound, it’s going to take some time to heal. Prove to yourself and others that you’re worthy of being trusted again. Do things that’ll make people second think about you. They’re not immediately going to trust you because you’ve broken that trust, but you have to try and keep trying to build back that trust with people. And for another thing you can’t go back to your same ways and mistakes. Use it as a lesson to turn people’s way of thinking about you. If you can prove it to anybody else, you need to prove it to yourself, and if you know you’re doing something right, who’s to judge you? Hope I helped :)
