Weight gaining/slowing down metabolism

Well, I weigh about 130 but it’s hard to put on more weight I end up losing weight instead I’m guessing my metabolism is really fast and I would like to know a way to slow it down so I can put on at least 150ibs and I’m about 5’8 so 130ibs doesn’t really look to good :/

A friend of mine told me protein shakes should work, is that true?

Eat more meals, eat more at night time, you’ll have to add about a 1000 calories to what you already eat to see weight gain because your body is resistant to it.
