How do you turn off the clicking sound while you're recording something on GarageBand?

The clicking sound is the inbuilt metronome to help you keep in time with what you are composing. It won’t be in your recording when you save it.

To get rid of the metronome, go into control at the top of your screen and the first thing in the list when you wave your mouse over it is ‘metronome’ with a tick beside it. Just click it to get rid of it and click it again to start it back up again if you want it back.
