How do i adjust sound recorder on my computer?
i went under ‘start”—–>all programs—–>accessories——>entertainment——> sound recorder. i used it before on the computer in the living room, and it was working fine but now i’m trying to use it on my laptop, and this is what happens: instead of it recording whatever s playing on the computer, EX: a song on youtube, it records what I’m saying! i’ve been messing with it for the past 20 minutes trying to fix it but i can’t figure it out. help!
sound recorder doesnt pick up things based on what you are doing on your computer, like watching a video. what it does is it records audio through a microphone which is most likely built into your computer monitor. the only way you can record something off your computer using sound recorder is if you turn the volume on the song up loud enough, and be completely silent, so the microphone can pick up the sound.
I think it’s not a sound recorder. You actually need a specila software for recording sounds from your computer. I’m using MacVide ScreenCap for example.
