Is it true that my eyes can change color based on my mood?

They may seem different but the actual colour of the iris does not just change whenever you’re feeling moody…

Mine tend to do that too. They are blue but will turn bluegreen palegreen grey gold and even black depending on my mood, the lighting ect.

Eyes can pick up colors around them. My ex- had hazel eyes and when she wore green her eyes looked green, when she wore brown her eyes looked brown, when she wore fairly neutral colors they looked sorta’ amber. I have blue eyes but when I wear a blue shirt my eyes look much bluer and when I don’t they are more blue-gray. I think it is more that your eyes pick up colors around you than their acting like a mood ring.

The color of the eye itself does not really change, but your perception of it changes.

• It can look different in different light, depending whether it is artificial light or daylight. That is true for all colors, by the way.
• The color will look different depending on the size of the pupil and thus depending on the intensity of light, as your pupil will be larger in dark surroundings.
• And depending on the color of your shirt - contrast colors make colors look different, that is a known optical illusion - you may also perceive the color of your eyes differently.

My eyes do. They change shades of blue depending on my mood. It’s pretty cool :D

the thing though is that every morning when i get up and i look in the mirror they are really never the same from day to day. granted my clothes are usually pretty dark. like 2/3 of my shirts are black the other 1/3 are colorfull like my huge assortment of deadmau5 shirts and other wide varients of artists

I’ve been told my eyes change, I have Hazel color though that color tends to change, from blue/greens, just green, gray/green, or a shade of gold. Though it does depend on the lighting and I guess mood as well, though what I would occasionally wear, would let my friends be in a surprise expression to see a purple like tint. Sometimes wearing make-up let’s your real eye color stand out.
