Tortoise

Hi, im looking to buy a totoise. I want one that doesnt hibernate as I think they could be easyer to look after than one that does, evan tho you have to provide ligh and heat & so on. I also dont want one that grows up to be to big, maybe upto around 6-7 inches. Can anyone tell me wich it the best breed for me to buy?

Also I found a picture of a very nice creamy colored one with a turquoise markin on it but cant find it anymore, does anyone know wich breed this is?

I have a hermans tortoise and as long as you carry on feeding it and leave it in warmth and light it wont hibernate.

Answer #5

I would recommend a red footed tortoise. They can be taken outside on warm sunny days during the summer and taken inside the rest of the time. As long as they have an indoor heated tortoise table and you look up what they eat and all about there welfare. The we’re all good
