When you tone your butt, and you finally have it how you want, will it eventually go away?

Yes it will go away, if you don’t keep up on working out to keep it toned

Like all of our muscles, in order to keep it toned, you have to maintain in some way.

For instance, when I go on a mass diet where I eat 2800+ calories, I pack on lots of muscle mass and some fat. When I switch and go to a cutting diet, I tend to become toned. If you want to stay toned while back on a mass diet, you’ll need to focus a little on cardio and certain fats and carb amounts to keep that toned look. If you don’t focus on it as much as you did on your cut, your results will start to slowly fade away and you’ll pack the fat back on.

So if you want to keep a toned buttocks, train it to maintain it. As for training frequency, that depends on how toned you have it now and how toned you want it to stay.
