How many times a month is it ok to eat out?

how many times is ok to eat out in a fast food restaurant?

Answer #1

It’s okay to treat yourself once a week or every other week, but fast food in general is the worst, greasiest, and un-nutritional food that you could be eating. If your strapped for time and can’t cook opt for places like subway, quizznos, etc so you atleast have healthier options.

It depends whether you are talking about money-wise, or health-wise. Money wise, yes it’s nice to eat out occasionally but it does start to cost a bit if you are dining say 3-4 times a month at $100 a time. To save money on dining, you could flick through your local newspaper to see if any places are having specials/coupons, you could cut down on costs by only eating the meal at the restaurant and having desert somewhere else eg stop for ice cream on the way home or go for pie somewhere less expensive. If you are talking health wise, it really depends where you are eating out. If you are going to restaurants, the food will most likely be high in calories, but not fatty as such. If you are eating fast-food, it will be high in fat, calories, and just about everything else. When you are eating fast food, I strongly recommend going for healthier options such as Subway or sushi. It will often turn out to be cheaper too, as you don’t have to buy fries, drinks etc etc. I eat out roughly twice a week, I used to eat out every day but I’m not working in the city any more. I don’t eat fast food though, I eat sushi or salads and always with water (I hate sugar drinks!!). I’d say once a week is average. So maybe 4-6 times a month.

We only go out about 3 times a month (36 times a year) and when we do go we don’t just splurge on our meals; we only do that about once a month. But normally families go out about 4-5 times a month.

Answer #4

If your talking about financially, it depends on how much money you have. However, health-wise, if you are trying to be super healthy, I would say not at all. Fast food in America and in most other places is heavily processed to the point where it barely resembles the food it represents. It’s horribly unhealthy, not just because of the fat in the food, but because it is so processed. But if you enjoy eating it, go ahead. I just wouldn’t suggest that you consume it often.
