What's your thought on this restaurant using live fish as a promotional tool?

Doesn’t look like species-appropriate handling. Not even some rocks on the ground. Doesn’t look like they have a water filter in that tank, either. I doubt that this is legal in Germany and I guess that it will attract hordes of protesters from the animal rights activist front…

That’s my thought too … I was wondering if I was the only one, lol

I dunno’ considering the grim existence of cattle that live most of their short lives on commercial feedlots, pigs raised in crates so small they can not even turn around, chickens so crammed together that they have to be de-beaked so they won’t kill each other and sharks fins being removed for soup and the injured sharks left in the ocean to die, a couple of trout in a tank isn’t even on the radar screen for me.

Yep, that’s right. But that couple of trout in a tank is in a public place in the middle of a city, and all the other poor beasts are hidden away in the dark where folks don’t see. That’s why the trout will attract the animal protection league and the rest of the tortured cattle won’t. A steak in a plastic box in the supermarket just doesn’t suffer before your eyes.

i think its just dumb i mean why torture the fish by making them watch what happens to their family
