This Math Equation I can't solve!! Help!!

Im trying to help my sister with an equation and I can’t. The question is…A soup recipe calls for 6 1/4 pints of water. How many cups are equivalent to 6 1/4 pints. If you get the anserw please give it to me and tell me how exactly you solved it, by the way I know for sure that theirs 2 cups in a pint.

Answer #1

Terrible_tash’s answer is right IF the problem is 6 and 1/4 pints. If, however, the problem is 6 1/4 pints then the answer would be

6 x 1/4 pint (1/2 cup) which would be 3 cups or 1 and 1/2 pints.

If theres 2 cups in a pint, just multiply everything by 2

So you start out with 6&1/4 which is 6.25 multiply that by 2 and you get 12.5

its rather simple =P haha
