Help with math homework!

Ok so I need someone to help me with this. Ok what I have to do is solve each system of equation. Here are the ones that are giving me a hard time… 1)y=x+8 x+y=2 2) y=x+2 3x+3y=6 3) x=y+9 x+y=-7… Please help me with these!! Thx.

1) y = x + 8…A x + y = 2…B

A in B x + (x+8) = 2 2x = -6 x = -3…C

C in A (or B - get same answer) y = -3 + 8 y = 5

  1. y = x+2…A 3x+3y=6 …B

Replace A in B 3x + 3(x+2) = 6 3x +3x + 6 = 6 6x = 6-6 6x= 0 x = 0…C

C in A (or B will get same answer) y = 0+2 y = 2

  1. x = y+9…A x+y = -7…B

A in B (y+9) + y = -7 2y = -16 y = -8…C

C in A (or B will get same answer) x = -8+9 x = 1
