Who else thinks that the teachers not getting paid what they want is stupid?

“teachers don’t need to think when it comes to know if the answer is right because they have a book with all the answers in it.”… You do know teachers have to go to college to educate themselves on whatever subject they wish to teach, right? That means they don’t just look in a book for answers and whatnot. They actually teach children/adolescents/adults HOW to do the work.

No, if everybody had a choice to get paid whatever they wanted, all the schools would be broke. Yes it’s a hard job, but they also made the choice to do it, knowing that it’s not the highest paying job around.

Teachers (along with the help of students parents) are responsible for teaching our children the knowledge and educational information that is needed for them to pass through the grades and to have to tools to be successful in their future studies and even life. They put up with disrespectful little twits, get ignored despite their efforts, and you couldn’t pay me enough to do their job. While i don’t feel they should be paid higher than people who do hard labor, i do feel they are under paid and underappreciated.

People tend to forget that teachers are educated people. They studied to do their jobs! In South Africa you have to study for 4 years to be a teacher. There are other professions that also only require 4 years of study and they get paid more than teachers. Also being a teacher in todays society is one of the hardest jobs in the world. I really think that increasing their wages won’t be a bad thing. If anything it will attract more people to this profession and maybe through this we will see not only more, but better teachers in school. Children’s education are after all very important and we should want only the best to teach them.

but the teachers in Saskatchewan are the second most hiest paid teachers in all of canada they dont need more money
