The bad side of Abe Lincoln
So I have to do a debate for my AP government class on why Grover Cleveland is a better president than Lincoln. Anyone know some faults of Lincoln’s presidency?
Easy, he could have let the states stay seperate and not instigated the civil war…just drum up facts & figures on why the civil war killed so many people, how the US would have eventually dropped slavery anyway, etc.
Lincoln was, according to Thomas DiLorenzo and John Emison a dictator. Countries had already ended slavery peacefully. He shut down newspapers. He waged war against American People, which according to the constitution is an act of tyranny.
