Why do my teeth hurt only after I brush them?

I went to my dentist complaining from gum pain in my upper gum where it spreads up he took a look at me without charge and said I have a cavity. I take pain killers and use cvs toothache relief and whitening sensitive toothpaste the sensodyne toothpaste and the pain goes and comes back stronger or sometimes gets worse.I am scheduled to meet Tuesday the 7th. I eat pancake and syrup this morning and the pain went away but I know if I brush my teeth the pain will come back what to do?Food that tastes good made my cavity pain go away why and what to do. Also chewing candy, ming or gum especially halls or cvs cough drops.

Answer #1

Because thr is a build up and once u remove the build up it exposes the part that’s makes it hurt

Answer #2

If you have a cavity any time you aggrivate that area its going to cause pain regardless of if its from brushing, flossing, eating, or drinking. You should really try and not eat (especially anything sugary or crunchy) on the side where the cavity is to cause less irritation and pain. Also brush more gentle in the area the cavity is until you see the dentist. In the meantime gargling with warm salt water or using a numbing gel like anbesol on the cavity when it hurts can relieve the pain.

Answer #3

You might be brushing too hard.slow it down..and just make sure you floss and take good care of them..also see your dentist if you haven’t in a while.
