Can a teacher get fired for making a student clean a microwave/ cleaning with the fumes from the water?

Well maybe not fired but they still shouldn’t do it?

Answer #1

If you sue her, and there’s sufficient evidence of damage/injury done to the student, yeah. She can get reprimanded or even fired.

Answer #2

Americans seem to sue people very often. If you have supporting evidence, you will most likely be able to sue the teacher. I heard a story where a person tried to break into someone’s house, got injured while doing it, sued the person he tried to rob, and won. Also, a person spilled hot coffee on his or her self and sued the manufactures because it was too hot.

Answer #3

I was just gonna say that lol. =) I also heard of a grandma who sued an electronics company for not specifying the instructions in a microwave oven. She sued them for not saying that the microwave is not to be used in drying pets. I think she used the microwave for drying a puppy.

Answer #4

Yeah I heard about that dog thing… It was on urban legends (:

Answer #5

It’s funny how they say bureaucrats have these cushy jobs when it comes to things like this :)

Answer #6

When I heard that story, I was like.. W@TF? she’s got no common sense? Poor poor doggie. =(

Answer #7

I know :( but she always used the oven an now she had a microwave, I guess she thought it was the same thing.

Answer #8

But I still think it’s not a sufficient ground for suing the company. The doggie should have sued her for her lack of common sense. =P

Answer #9

Why shouldn’t they do it? I don’t see how that is an unfair punishment unless you actually got physically damaged. It’s unfair that teachers have to put up with brats all day that can sue them and there is no way to punish the kids.
