What do you think of the Tax Free Weekend (Texas)?

I think it’s a great time for Texas to have such an event - just in time for back to school shopping. Do you think this will have an adverse effect on the Texan economy?

Louisiana also does a tax free weekend every year around back to school time. I personally think that its great, we arent one of the wealthiest states as far as incomes go and its nice that the give the people in the state a break to help buy school supplies and clothes.

some times a few stores in windsor have a tax free day. its usually the zehrs/loblaws, zellers, sears, the bay, and a few other stores at the mall

It’s great &all but I haven’t done my back to school shopping. I mean yeah my parents will save money buying me all this stuff, but every place is going to be packed D: It’s 7:00am in Houston andmy parents are already telling me to get dressed v.v
