Tactful Dresscode

What is the most tactful way to go about enforcing uniform dress codes at the high school level? I am new to the profession at a private school with uniforms. The teachers and staff were recently directed to step up uniform dress code enforcement, especially with tucked in shirts/blouses and skirt lengths.

I am especially uncomfortable commenting on girls’ skirt lengths. Our Principal expressed that she wants documentation so that letters can go out to parents. By taking measurements, she means having the student kneel on the floor, and measure with a ruler.

What is the most tactful approach in doing this?

there is nothing tactfull about making a student bend over so you can measure her skirt with a ruler if the school want to do that there partly invading thats girls privacy and are too strict you can usually tell how short ot long a skirt os by looking at it if its above the knee you can see it if its too long youll notice and if its too short it looks slutty and her bum cheeks are hanging out, youll not only notice it, but so will everyone else dont measure them with a ruler try to get them to judge the lengths by looking at them. its really not that hard (even the male teachers can do it) if they think its too short, send a letter home to there parents telling them to buy a new one thats a bit longer (at least insert length here) as for the tucked in stuff, I dont see howthat does anything exept make them all look like little adaults wearing uncomfortable tucked in clothing if there uniform is tailored and looks neat they can still be comfortable while the teachers are happy that they still look nice and neat
