Can I sue my vice-principal for wrongly punishing me?

Well yes you can sue anyone that you want, but the ability for you to have a valid case worth a judge’s time, depends on how much he punished you and if you can allegedly prove it. When you sue someone, you usually spend more money on lawyers and stuff, then the actual possibility of you gaining some money. If justice is what you want and money is not a problem, then I say “Go for it.” Now, you can just tell the principal and let him/her deal with your vice principal. Since it is not any type of assault then the least he can be punished for is a month maybe even just a week of suspension without pay.

No court will hear your case unless you first go through the proper steps to solve the issue on your own … that being - explain your situation to the school board. If you haven’t made any attempts to correct the problem, then you are simply submitting a frivolous lawsuit.

Possibly. Note that everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes. If the principal was conscientious and simply trying to do their job and made an honest mistake than you don’t have much of a case. If you suffered significant mental anguish, were publicly slandered, were punished because of prejudice against a legally protected minority, if the principal made their mistake with mallace (an intent to harm you) or through gross incompetence than you may have legal recourse; assuming you can convince a judge a jury of this anyway.
