Will weights stunt my growth?

I am a 14-year-old male. What weights should I be doing? If I use dumbbells, what weight should I be carrying?

Answer #1

You can do whatever weight you are comfortable with. If you can do 15 reps with no problem then you need to up the weight, if you can only do 10 reps and you’re having a hard time you need to lower the weight. The rep count you want is 12. Weights will not stunt your growth.

Answer #2

Lifting weights will not stunt your growth.

You should have a knowledgable trainer show you the corrct form for the exercises. My biggest concern is learning bad habits that may be difficult to break later or having unnecessary injuries due to lack of form.
