How do you “find” a pup that’s still nursing?? Does it have teeth?? If so, then it can eat puppy food, soaked in warm water…and it will do FAR better than on milk.

Your cat probably sees it as prey, if it’s small…squeaky, and moving around…for the time being keep the cat away, until the pup is more agile…there’s a good chance they’ll end up being buddies…

My first question also would be how did you find a pup that is still nursing? don’t give it just regular milk, it needs more then that, And yes if it is that little I would keep it away from the cat. It more then likly does think it is a toy. Just wait till the pup is a couple of weeks old, the cat will be running and hiding from it.

also you need to take the pup to a vet to check it out for anything. and naturally cats and dogs will combat. cat probably has no idea what it is and smells different. so it hits it. just common behavior with feline and K-9. and if you really did find it needing to still nurse it wont survive that long unless taken to a vet that can assist you.
