What is the best store bought dye I could use to change my hair from black to blonde?
I need to take out the black color to put int blue :) The lighter the better!
You need to bleach it white first then dye it with a normal blonde hair dye. You can get both from any chemist/pharmacy/supermarket. There’s no guaruntee it’ll work though because your hair is so dark. Good luck! :)

over the years the best I can do is either strip out the old dye and/or use a kit that is intended for highlighting. The highlighting kit seems to have a stronger effect then general bleach. I was hoping someone had more experience with it then me. Either way i have to apply products 2-3 times and it kills my hair!!!
The best thing to do here is to actually go to a salon and get an effasor, which lifts colour out without damaging too much like bleaching will. If you have black/dark hair that has been dyed, your hair will go an orangy reddish yellowish colour after the effasor (you may actually need 2 effasors) and then you can bleach it after that. You should get a protein spray, redken has a great one, and a leave in treatment. Your hair will feel dry and brittle for a while but if you take care of it it should be okay.
