Still having issues gaining weight

Its been about 6 months I have been eating a lot as well as working out a lot. I have only gained about 3 pounds and I gained 1 percent of body fat…So that doesn’t seem to good to me. Any suggestions on how to gain muscle weight would be appreciated.

i hope you do not take offense,         To that that comes hereafter;         ’Tis only that it’s my two-cents,         Not one penny more thereafter. §;o)

How to GAIN weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier.

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years.

BMI Classification

18.5 or less Underweight
18.5 to 24.99 Normal Weight
25 to 29.99 Overweight
30 to 34.99 Obesity (Class 1)
35 to 39.99 Obesity (Class 2)
40 or greater Morbid Obesity

Check out your BMI at the bmi calculator site below to see where you stand.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Answer #2

Some people should realize that theirs a difference between gaining muscle weight and weight in general I’m looking for muscle…not fat.

Answer #3

I forgot to mention my work outs were six times a week consisting of two days for chest and arms, two day for back and shoulders, and two days for legs and abs

Answer #4

Even if the weight gain is slow, all the matters is that you are gaining the weight you need! Gaining weight shouldn’t be a fast process, it should be nice and slow. Don’t stress about your weight packing on slow, just remember to eat five-hundred calories more than you need to be eating, and don’t exercise too much besides for muscle-building activities. Good luck! Gaining weight shouldn’t be too hard.
