Why haven't I gained any weight?

I havnt been as strict on my “diet” lately as I used to be. I still exercise, yet I consume about 1,500-2,200 cals a day on adverage lately. So why havnt I gained any weight? Believe me I am not complaing, because I definatley dont want to gain weight…but I was wondering what it is that is keeping me from gaining? Is it because I have more muscle mass than before therfor I require more cals or is it because I am still exersisng? I dont know…can anyone help me understand this? Thank you.

If you are neither gaining nor burning weight, then you burn the exact same amount (no more, no less) that you consume.
