What are some things you can do to want to start driving again after having been in a deadly crash?

Thx, I was in a deadly crash 3 yrs ago and haven’t driven since, my anxieties go super high when behind the wheel now

my best advice to you sweetie, if you havent gotten any counseling yet is to it!
You have no idea what it can do for you. Once you have done that, you will get that confidence you need to confront being in the driver’s seat again minus the anxiety! I would bet anything on it…It’s really worth the time, patience, energy & effort. Believe you me. I should know! :)

I actually did go for counseling for about a yr and half after the accident, maybe I shud think about goin back, thx so much sweetie :-)

drive in familiar places, so you are comfortable. Then ease your way back into driving.

np hun, always here to help. :) By the way have you spoken with a driving tutor/teacher, might have some more input on traumatic situations as well. Perhaps a guide or video on how to get back on the road after an accident.

For some people the crash does not give any trauma. However for some people that kind of accident will give a big shock that forbid them to be behind the wheel again. Must be try bit- by bit. If it does not work I believe there is a program of phobia /trauma recovering.

I ran off the road, jumped a ditch and hit a telephone pole about a year ago. Me and Cody are fine, and didn’t even have to go to the hospital, but it spooked me so bad that I didnt drive for months after. So, Cody drove us out to a small town near our house and told me to try to get behind the wheel. It was tough but now I drive everyday. I have faith in you girl!! You can do it. (:
