Something has been troubling me, does god have cajones?

My brother asked me this question the other day, and while I consider myself reasonably literate on religious allegory…this stumped me. The Judeo Christian God, apparently, has both cajones and one swinging, as you might say. So…a few questions based on this.

First, why does god have a penis? Second, does he have a big one or small one, and would he measure it? Third, if he has a big one…then, are men with small penises less godly than those with big ones?

Answer #1

Errr… I don’t quite see how impregnating a virgin on Earth, conveys any sense of family values.

Answer #2

…maybe its referring to his spirit, life force, ethereal energy, the soul, etc. And our physical bodies are merely a vessel to contain that spiritual likeness. If we were PHYSICALLY like him, it seems like a waste when we die, for our bodies to rot away.

Answer #3

…and that means he has to PEE too… and other bodily functions as well. Whoa… a God-sized bowel movement must be GALACTIC.

Answer #4

one reason is that we’re made in his image. if he didn’t have sex organs, we wouldn’t have sex organs…which would make the “multiply and replenish the earth” commandment kind of difficult.

Answer #5

yes, god has sex organs. man was created in his image, therefore men’s parts are SIMILAR but not the exact same as his. penise size and godliness have NO correlation.

I don’t think he would measure it…he’s perfect. what does he care?

…interesting yet uncomfortable questiion. I can see why you were stumped!

Answer #6

oh captain… ok. nevermind.

Answer #7

boys are so gross!

Answer #8

You guys REALLY have nothing to do with your time. Get a life!

Answer #9

It’s heartening to know that you are striving to become such a “deep” thinker…

p

Answer #10

…why would he have sex organs? Who would he knock up?

Answer #11

considering the art in history & such perhaps a smaller one/average size but hey, you never know, lol

Answer #12

The first part I might of heard before, I knew the secound part.

Answer #13

…I believe there is a heavenly mother… doesn’t it make sense that god would pattern himself the way he wants us to live? to have relationships…a wife…kids…?

Answer #14

None of you guys asked the important follow up question to this:

if has one swinging, small or big, does he get an erection? If so, when & why?

Answer #15

“a God-sized bowel movement must be GALACTIC.”

Maybe that’s what our universe is, a giant god dump…

wow, this question sure has deteriorated into an adolescent joke… I second thought, it actually started out that way… lol

Answer #16

Haha, I love this question.

You know he sits there and measures it if he does have a penis. I mean come on, don’t all men do that.

Answer #17

How many people here know that the steeple of a church originated as a phalic symbol? Before the ascetics came along, sex was an integral part of most religions.

Answer #18

O_o if he had pens then he couldnt be god… neither could he if he had a vagna if he did it would mean he god but is or was a person…

Answer #19

So can god multiply and replenish heaven with more gods?

I mean what else would god need a penis for if it weren’t to get jiggy with it?

Answer #20

The idea of God being a man, stems from the society and time period in which the scriptures were written… it had to do with male-dominance, and nothing else…

Answer #21

I recall an episode of ‘Family Guy’ in which that very issue… is… mmm—

snickers

Answer #22

one reason is that we’re made in his image.

Maybe you’re taking that phrase too literally…

Answer #23

God is a tranny s/he has the best of both worlds. Trannys are the closest we will come to God on Earth. Thanks for the question, and God bless.

Answer #24

The Abrahamic god is male …which necessarily means he’s got junk. It’s silly, but what do you expect from ancient tribesmen? Of course their god would be described exactly as their king, because in those days, kings were worshiped as gods.

Answer #25

Well… think of it this way… we need genitals to reproduce, God doesn’t. So God has no need for them. To imply that God is a male, with male sex organs, would suggest there is a FEMALE God out there too, for him to mate with. Which would contradict Christianity’s monotheistic principles. It just pointless for God to have celestial wedding-tackle, when God can just WILL anything wanted, into existence.

God is a completely superior superdimensional metaphysical ethereal entity, who’s existence is far beyond human comprehension, with regards to power and complexity. It makes sense to believe that if God actually HAD a physical form, the biology of that form would be equally complex and just as far beyond our comprehension.

Overall, it makes more sense to conclude that God was simply ‘perceived’ as a male, by the male-dominant males who wrote the scripture, in male-dominant time period.

Answer #26

one reason is that we’re made in his image.

Maybe you’re taking that phrase too literally…

ok captain…if I was taking that phrase too literally, what are some other ways it could be interpretted? I ‘m not seeing it.

ps…my “t” key on my lap top is sticking…sorry for future missing “t”‘s.

Answer #27

maybe his body is the perfected version of ours and when we die and are ressurrected, we’ll recieve that perfected body.

I think it does also refer to his spirit, too…meaning he’s the father of our spirits.
