Smoking and help trying to quit
Hi ya my boyfriend and I are trying to quit so how do you stop smoking? Because we are chewing gum instead of smoking but are there any other ways? Please help! -daisy
I know there are also patches
no actually idc if I get cancer or gum desiese we both are on high risks of sucide…jkj k I just don’t cre wht happenes to me im sucidal… I wish jk -daisy
it takes a strong person to quit! because smoking is an addiction.

Im a addiction therapist so I know a little bit about addictions. But wether or not you follow this is up to you. This is what I would do to stop smoking… Day 1. smoke less than you did the day before. repeat each day after wards till your down to just one cig. when you get down to one or two cigs a day dont keep your cig package. start throwing them in the garbage. With remaining Cig’s and all. Making it harder for you to have to go out and buy another package. Then only buy another package of cig’s only if you really need too. If you dont need it dont buy them. You’ll probably get down to having to buy them one a week to once a month. But like I said smoke just one and then throw the whole package away. Yes it sounds expensive but so is smoking and your health if you get cancer. When you get down to being able to smoking just one from the pack and then throwing the whole pack away congrat’s your over your addiction to cig’s. One more thing though, when you get down to one cig a month start changing your additude about smoking and see it for what it really is. discussing and only stupid people smoke or get started smoking. You have to recondition your brain when you stop smoking too. By seeing smoking not as cool but as something very bad.
okay so ya im under age and not supposed to be smoking.. like that would stop me right lol… but anyways to quit I went over to a friends house for a couple day and didnt bring any cigs. her parents are super strict and would kill her if I was even smoking around her so I just stayed with her for a 3 days. I thought it would be hard since I’ve been smoking for so long but actually I didnt even think about cigs the whole time I was there I just kept finding ways do distract myself… after 3 days its mostly out of your system and a lot easier to quit. so if you can go without smoke for at least 3 days then you should be good and I know it dont seem like it now but youl only want one out of habit after that… part of the addiction itself is out of habit… like me id wake up and have one right after school id have one after I ate and so on… its like trying to quit biting your nails and if your a nail bitter you know that’s not easy. so distract yourself and brake the habit is my advice… GOOD LUCK = ]
