What are ways to help me stop smoking cigarettes?

What are some different ways to help me stop smoking cigarrettes? I really need to quit. I’ve been smoking since like 4 years ago…and I no that it aint good for me, and it is really going to catch up to me when I get older. So if anyone has any ideas that can help me stop…than that would be great!:)

You have to really want to quit, if so I know people won’t agree with me but all people I know who REALLY want to quit including myself have had success with it. It’s all a frame of mind. Go to a 1 on 1 hypnotist. Not a group thing. They can sit down with you find out exactly when you smoke etc. Just make sure you are truly ready. If not nothing will work

Don’t try to quit cold turkey–it very rarely works. Instead, try to decrease your smoking by a cigarette a day, until you’re not smoking anymore. It’ll help to set small goals for yourself, like “I won’t have a cigarette until 12PM, and then I get one. After that, I won’t have another one until after dinner.”

It’ll also help a lot if you minimize the time you spend with other smokers.
