Sleeping in a Bra, Good or Bad

So I have heard that you should sleep in a bra, for support and then I’ve heard that you shouldnt

what is your opinion on it or got any info about it

Answer #1

hollie_m I wore bras day and night when I breastfed for 9 months, didn’t make any difference, I think they’ve gone down south near you lmao!

Answer #2

it doesnt really matter, personal preferance, unless its cutting off you circulation then I think its ok, just its really uncomfortable.

Answer #3

Wearing a bra to sleep doesn’t prevent sagging.

That’s a myth.

It can however restrict the blood flow underneath your breasts, and also cause acne problems by bacteria being trapped there all the time. (and anytime you wear restrictive clothing constantly, you run the risk of developing skin tags.)

So it’s suggestive that if you do wear a bra to sleep, wear a less restricting bra. There are ‘’sleep bras’’ available.

sleeping in a bra is good for you, as long as it’s designed for it. you can buy nightime sleeping bras, and if you’re a bit well endowed (as am I) it may make it more comfortable. obviously don’t use underwired and make sure the straps don’t dig in your shoulders.

if in doubt, then buy pyjamas or night dresses with suppoert built in, M&S is good for them!

Answer #5

when you have a baby, and are breasfeeding you should sleep in a nursing bra, so you dont droop later when they return to normal. I guess if you have naturally bigger boobs then the same applies?? (I sm not that lucky!)

Answer #6

its all up to you its not bad if you do it or not, so if you want to feel free but yes, make sure its a comfortable fitting one otherwise if it diggs into your shoulders and stuff as sooitca says then you can be left with red marks and even strap scars

Answer #7

I heard that if you wear a bra to bed, u’ll have a greater chance of getting breast cancer.

Answer #8

its better off if you don`t wear a bra to bed. I mean, you should let your skin breath. I usually go nude or wear a loose-like lingerie to bed. you might find that your breasts have more room to flow around & you may develop skin rashes or whatever by wearing a bra. under the wires of the bra, or just under where your breasts folds, are the most common places women gets rashes on their breasts. its sometimes caused from wearing a bra a lot. & you sometimes sweat & its causing rubbing friction.
