Is it bad to wear a bra all the time; such as in your sleep (read more)?

or is it just a myth that it will cause them to sag faster and increase chances of breast cancer?

Answer #1

You shouldn’t wear it to bed, i’ve had a doctor tell me that.

Answer #2

well i feel really insecure and uncomfortable if im not wearing one.

Answer #3

I haven’t personally been able to find any evidence that wearing a bra to bed causes breast cancer or increases your chances of getting it. As far as I’m concerned it’s a myth. In most cases the choice of whether or not to wear a bra comes down to a comfort thing – some people feel more comfortable with it on, others prefer it off.

I usually wear a bra 24/7 because I feel seriously uncomfortable without one on. I haven’t had any problems so far.

Answer #4

I sleep with one on, I always have and so has my grandmother. We haven’t had any problems with it. When I was growing up I heard that it would cause my breasts not to grow and that wasn’t the case and now it’s it causes breast cancer. I really don’t see how it would though.

Answer #5

i am the same way.i dont feel comfortable without one. never have.

Answer #6

thatz not true and honestly wether people wear one to bed or not depends on their comfort level because i personally feel more comfortable wearing one so i wear one 24/7

Answer #7

Answer #8

Answer #9

there are specific bras for nighttime. i myself have always had, erm, larger boobs? and know that at night they can become uncomfortable or get in the way..

but it’s best to get a specific one for night time, they’re very similar to sports bras <3

Answer #10

i keep my bra on all the time even when im sleeping cuz its more comfortable for me esp. around people. i get told all the time not to sleep in my bra but i do anyways.

Answer #11

ur boobs get smaller

Answer #12

I just saw a new thing like this on one of those health-advice shows on TV. You wear it like a bra, but instead covering your breasts, it puts a sort of cushion between them, so when you sleep on your side, they dont smush together and get sweaty, wrinkly, and uncomfortable.

Here’s a testimonial (with pictures) from a satisfied customer, that links to the product page and also cites the potential negative effects of sleeping in a regular bra every night:
