you could not wake up/go into a coma.

Answer #3

It is very dangerous go to sleep if you have a concussion, or if you think you may have a concussion because of the potential brain damage. People that may have a concussion are kept awake mainly to observe and make sure no brain damage has occurred. If you did have a concussion, and you went to sleep…death could be the result, because of bleeding in the brain.

It’s a safety precaution - it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Answer #4

-bcuz ur more capable of slipping into a cmcomma that’s why they(as in adults).say, “don’t go to sleep u just bumped your head”!!

Answer #5

You could die in your sleep or go into a coma, theres a lot of stuff going on in the brain when you have this, and that can lead to it.

Answer #6

And how long does it take before that person can go to sleep?

Answer #7

If there is a possibility you have a concussion, you need to be monitored to be sure you don’t slip into a coma while you sleep, and to make sure there is nothing more serious going on. I’ve had my share of concussions through hockey, and personally i don’t WANT to sleep after getting one, they hurt like hell!

Answer #8

Also there is the possibility of a coma, some brain damage can cause this, some comas can last a few hours to many decades.. That would suck….
