If I go to sleep around 10pm, what time should I take my sleeping pill so it can take effect?

It doesnt say on the box :( i suffer from severe insomnia & i am currently taking some over the counter sleeping pills.

Answer #1

It takes about 15-45 minutes depending on the tablet and your body. I suggest you take them 15 minutes before you sleep. If they don’t work on you immediately, it will only take up about half an hour of extra sleep.

Answer #2

The over the counter stuff isnt very strong. It takes between half an hour and an hour to start working.

Answer #3

I take a natural sleep aid called Meletonin and it takes quite a while for it to take affect. So I take it around 45-60 minutes before I go to bed, but it differs on your weight and metabolism. So just experiment with it.
