Should I see a therapist?

Lately I’ve been afraid to go to sleep because I have nightmares. The nightmares are reoccuring and happen every night unless I get lucky and don’t dream at all.

That of course is if I can get to sleep. Every night, I start thinking (which cannot be helped because I have an over active mind). Mostly I think about me and my Boyfriend. Not long after I start thinking I get these depressing thoughts. But the thing is is that when I think them, it’s like someone is in my mind telling me these things.

What should I do?

It sounds like you would maybe benefit from just talking to someone about how you are feeling. If you’re tired and having nightmares, and having trouble with distressing thoughts at night it must be like trying to work your way through a fog all the time. If you went to therapy it would give you a safe, unhurried space to talk through what is going on for you, where no one would judge you or try to tell you what to do.

Yes, A theraphist is a good idea, you know just get it all out and know why all this nightmares are accuring. Ussually there something in your mind that is bothering you and you yourself can’t figure out what it is so a theraphist can help you see this.

GOOD LUCK:)

Well. I kinda do know what is causing them, but I’m not so sure my family would really understand. You see, I’m what you might call “sensitive” where I can feel extra energy that has collected over time (whether it be ghosts or just plain energy). I can’t see the energy, but I feel the emotion of it, like if it is positive or negative. Almost all of my nightmares are about my parents house and something in the wall is reaching out towards me. I can tell that it’s negative because it makes me feel depressed. I feel like it doesn’t want to hurt me, but just torments me and watches me suffer.
