shitzu cold or alergys

my 6 mo. old puppy has started sneezing a lot and eyes are watering what could be causing this all of a sudden?

I would take it to the vet for a good clean bill of health. However this breed is prone to watery eyes, and breating is tuff because of their smushed up nose’s. But just to be safe and to take stress away from yourself, get the pup checked out. If your choose to get the dog fixed, (it is old enough) sometimes where I work we will enlarge their nostrials so they can breath better.

Take it to the Vet, so you can find out if it’s an upper respatory infection (or problem)…or if it’s an allergy. Usually dogs with allergies itch as well…their feet and ears are the itchiest places.

shih-tzu’s are prone to allergies.. and eye irritations.. its winter.. the cold air makes their eyes water and their tear ducts more sensitive.. their sinuses are touchy.. and a lot of shih-tzu’s will have drainage from their eyes all throughout adulthood..
