Scared Stinky!

My female dog emits this “metal-like” odor when she gets scared. The smell seems to come from her rear end. There is no visible residue, but it stinks up the whole house & I have to clean her to get the smell off. What is this? (she is 1 year old, spayed & no problems with anal glands).

Dogs do emit an order when they get very scared (or very excited) the anal glands secrete an oily substance that sticks to the hairs around the anus…and yes, it’s a very unpleasent oder.
