How should I deal with an abused friend?

my friend was abused by her boyfriend and now she’s scared of almost everything , everytime I give her a hug , it scares her and she jumps back , everytime I grab herhand , she jumps 30 feet in the air , what do I do ? I want my best friend back , I know it’ll be awhile before she’s back to normal , but what do I do ?

just be there for her mate im going throught the same sorta thing with my best mate you just have to be there for her no matter what she says cause deep down she doesnt mean to upset you, just hang in there nad be there for her

maybe instead of a suprise attack tell her your hugging her or something before doing it…maybe that will reduce the bouncing back motion.You HAVE to tell someone if someone’s getting abused, everyone has hte right to feel safe within a community. Sign her up with female selfdefence programs and if she doesn’t feel confortable going alone go with her even tho your not a female just to support her. If all else fails restraining order xD

Find an adult you trust, tell them what is going on and ask for help.
