No, I don't think so. The sale of three old churches for 1$ just shows that the responsible people in catholic church are looking after their money. The buildings probably need expensive repairs. And they might just not get a permission to tear them down and build new ones. U know, administration tends to have rules for historical buildings. Giving them away for nuts is probably the cheapest way to get out of the affair.
The signs of Catholicism fading away is when you look into a church on Sunday morning and you see exactly 7 very old people attending the mass.
