How can I get rid of my son's fever with out medication (he's 5 months)?

I have no way of getting to a drugstore rite now

Answer #1

try the cloth method, put a wet cold cloth (i think ) on his head its supposed to SUCK the fever out, its old but effective i hope he gets well soon (F)

Answer #2

Hmmm undress him and leave on only his diaper.

Answer #3

Wipe him down with a room-temperature wet cloth, gently. This’ll make him feel really cold, so wrap him in blankets as soon as you’re finished. My dad did this for me for years, it always helps.

When i was a baby i had a really bad ear infection & it caused my temperature to reach 101 in the middle of the night…so my mother called my doctor & she said this:

  1. first of all dont panic, these things will happen at any given time…when you panic you start to forget things & lose control, so try to take a deep breath, and now focus on what is needed to be done.
  2. take a cold towel & wrap the baby in it for a couple of mins. If the fever doesnt go down run a cold bath & hv the baby in it for a few mins. If that still doesnt work then bring her in.
  3. my mother didnt want to wait but after a few mins of me being wrapped in a cold towel it brought my fever down. I still needed a shot though for the ear infection.

may be too late now, but for next time. hope ur son feels better!

Answer #5

You can try to put wet rags (cold) under his arms, on his forehead, and behind his neck? Soak it again everynow and then till you feel him getting a bit more cooler.

Answer #6

Try this, a friend of mine sent it to me. Put a peeled onion in your babies room. Onions absorb germs and bacteria. From what she said it quickly handled her have pneumonia. She researched it and found out that during the Black Plague, in the 15 century, people who survived the Plague put onions and garlic together in bowls lived. It is known that onions handle germs and bacteria even while eating them, but this is new to me about onions in a room.
